"Just like Lensvelt, I value expressiveness. Furniture should speak for itself." Says Stefan Scholten, who was approached by Hans Lensvelt to design a sofa. There were several conditions the designs had to meet. The result had to be applicable, functional, durable and expressive, and it had to fit within the Lensvelt concept of outspoken furniture with a wink. With this furniture, Lensvelt wants to create an accessible and practical product that fits in with the spirit of the times in terms of both quality and comfort.
Hans Lensvelt (co-owner of Lensvelt) and designer Stefan Scholten met each other for the first time over twenty years ago during the Salone Del Mobile in Milan. During the recent launch party, Stefan reminded Hans of their first meeting when Hans said to him: 'we must work together.
After they both had a fruitful and productive career in the design world, twenty years later, it finally happened.
