Tank Chair
The Tank Chair is a sturdy chair with character. This simplistic but above all powerful chair was designed by Tank Interior Design Agency from the ambition to make a stylish chair that is 100% circular, exceptionally comfortable and compliant with all health and safety standards.
Due to its uncluttered construction, with its straightforward frame and symmetrical shapes, all individual parts can be easily disassembled and replaced. Combined with the genuine materials, this ensures that the chair can be easily recycled at the end of its life. Only the wheels are plastic, "but those are original inline skate wheels and therefore indestructible”, says Sanne Schenk, creative director & co-founder of Tank. These wheels do the trick and give the no-nonsense chair a fun twist.
Besides being 100% circular, the chair also complies with all official health and safety regulations and is thus NEN 1335 certified, making it very suitable as an office chair. The backrest, armrests and seat are adjustable and "even the wheels have a brake so the chair doesn't slip when standing up," Schenk says.
